Day Seven - 5/13/2006 Cleveland

Waking up in Cleveland. I suppose it could be worse.

I don’t want to run into the guy that dropped this.

We visited the Rock and Roll museum. I have many complaints about this place but I will try to limit it to a few.
1. Price – too high.
2. Pictures – can only take them in the lobby.
3. What happened to the 70’s – it’s all about the 50’s, 60’s and skips to new wave of the 80’s and grunge of the 90’s. Omitted are all the crappy 70’s bands like Kansas, Styx and Journey. They even gave short shrift to some decent bands like Yes and Genesis.
4. No Peter Gabriel – this museum acts like Rock and Roll is only American. They give little respect to the British.

Other than that it was cool. After all, “Cleveland Rocks”

On to Jacobs field, where we waited through a 20 min rain delay. The rain was not bad but it was accompanied by 40-degree temperatures. This was our first well played game.

Sabathia pitched well and Bonderman took a no hitter into the fifth. The Tigers prevailed 3 to 0 in two hours thirty minutes. This allowed us to see the whole game and still get an early start on our drive to Cincinnati.
